  • hormones=substances that control the functioning of organs
  • hormones travel in the bloodstream
  • hormones are produced by the endocrine glands

Notes:
  • Islets of Langerhans produces insulin and glucagon
  • Blood sugar level = amount of glucose in your blood
  • Insulin = changes glucose into glycogen which can be stored in fat and muscles, 
  • Glucagon = changes glycogen into glucose when you need energy
