Perception (waarneming)

• Starts with a stimulus (prikkel) in a sense organ (zintuig). 
• The stimulus is transported as a impuls (electric signal) to your brain. 
• In the brain you perceive the stimulus. 
• From the brain a new impulse is send to muscles or gland (klieren) to react on the stimulus.

Different sense organs

Threshold 

• An impulse is only send to the brain if the stimulus is strong enough = threshold value (drempelwaarde)
• Example we only hear sounds that are loud enough
• The stronger a simulus the more impuls are send to the brain
