Talk for a Minute: Picture Challenge
What do you already know about speaking from pictures?
Learning Objective
At the end of the lesson, you will be able to speak confidently for one minute about a topic of your choice using picture prompts.
What Will We Do Today?
We will practise speaking skills by choosing a picture and talking about it for 60 seconds. You will learn tips for describing images and organising your ideas.
Why Use Pictures?
Pictures are great prompts. They help you focus, spark ideas, and make speaking more fun and creative.

Rules of the Minute
Pick a picture, think for 20 seconds, then speak for one minute without stopping! Describe, tell a story, or explain what’s happening.
In preperation, write down 5 key words that spring to mind.
Speaking Tips
Start with the big picture, add details, and finish with your opinion or a conclusion.

Mention what you see, where things are, and people’s actions and feelings.
