Today, we will do some group activities.

The first two games...
will test two types of memory:
auditory (hearing) 
and 
visual (seeing)

Birthday game
1. Form a circle with 3-4 other students
2. The student who is going to celebrate his/her birthday next says: 
For my birthday, I would like to get .....! 
3. The student on his/her left hand side in the circle has to name a present. 
All the items have to be something you can wrap up and give to a person!
The next student will have to repeat the first present and then add a new present. 
The student after that will have to repeat the first two presents and add another one.
4. You are out of the game if you cannot reproduce all the presents and add your own new one.
5. Remember how many presents your group could remember - was it 3? 5? More??

Kim's game

This is a simple visual memory game, named after Rudyard Kiplings novel, Kim, published in 1901.
1. Get a piece of paper and a pen!
 2. Have a look at the tray and try to remember the items. 
3. I will remove the tray.

Your group is going to write a story.
Decide what GENRE you will write: comedy, horror, romance, mystery, tragedy, fairy tale...
Choose your starting sentence from the next slide or come up with your own.
Each group member will write one sentence at a time until the story is finished. 
You get 5 minutes to create your story!
