what is the rule when you formulate a sentence?

Dutch examples:

1. Als ik de loterij win, zal ik een auto kopen.

2. Als we niet haasten, zullen we daar niet op tijd aankomen.

3. Als je goed leert, zul je een voldoende halen voor de toets.

if-sentences: first conditional

De first conditional gebruik je:

- als er aan een VOORWAARDE voldaan wordt, is de kans groot dat dit zal gebeuren.

Een conditional wordt ook een if-zin genoemd.

Een conditional bestaat uit twee delen: 

-  de if-zin zin (eigenlijk een zinsdeel)

- en een hoofdzin

In de if-zin gebruik je de PRESENT SIMPLE.

In de hoofdzin gebruik je WILL + HELE WERKWOORD.

1. Als ik de loterij win, zal ik een auto kopen.

2. Als we niet haasten, zullen we daar niet op tijd aankomen.

Je kunt de zinsdelen ook omdraaien!

If I win the lottery, I will buy a car.
