Introduction to MYP2 Spanish
In the first term all students will be in Emergent level (phase 1 or 2).

You'll start with basic vocabulary and phrases and we will build up from here.

Interactive activities: Games, role-plays, and projects will be part of learning.

Cultural understanding: We will explore Spanish-speaking countries and traditions.

Assessments in MYP2
In class we will work with the 4 skills, which we group as follows:

Criteria A: based on listenning skills.
Criteria B: based on reading skills.
Criteria C: based on orals skills.
Criteria D: based on writing skills.

Assessments will include quizzes, presentations, and projects and of course regular assessments.                                                                                                              Every term you will:
- Do formative tasks for each criterion (A, B, C and D).
- Receive feedback for your formatives tasks and reflect on this feedback.
- Be assessed (at least) once per criterion (A, B, C and D).
- Develop ATL skills that will help your performance in class and in real life.

Spanish in MYP3

You'll expand vocabulary and tackle complex grammar.
Same structure as MYP2 for formative tasks, summative assessments and ATL skills.
At the end of the year, students either stay in Emergeny level or advance to Capable.

Focus on fluency and deeper cultural insights.
We will cover topics such as Healthy habits, education, ecology and travelling.
