This port had been given to Poland after the TOV. It was a german city. Hitler sent his ships to bomb it.

Stalin was in control and agreed this attack as part of the NAzi Soviet pact. He send his troops across the Polish border. 
Brest-Litovsk
When Russia left WW1 in 1917 they signed a highly punitive treaty with Germany at Brest-Litovsk. 
Warsaw
This is the capital of Poland and the city that fell allowing Germany to occupy Poland. During the war it housed a ghetto for Jewish people. 
Czech Republic
This is the area that had been Czechoslovakia and contained the Sudetenland. Hitler did not have to worry about it as he had allready occupied the area.
