At the end of the lesson you are able to recognise the future tense Will/Shall/be going to + present simple future.

At the end of the lesson you know the difference between the tenses used for the future and how and when to use them

FUTURE TENSE(toekomst)

De future tense gebruik je om aan te geven dat iets in de toekomst gaat gebeuren(voorspellingen) of dat je in de toekomst iets van plan bent. 

Er zijn 4 vormen toe te passen voor de future. Wij gaan ons richten op 3 vormen waarvan er 2 in je toets terugkomen.

1. Bij beloftes, aankondigingen en een voorspelling waar je GEEN bewijs hebt. Je denkt dat het gaat gebeuren, maar je hebt hier geen bewijs voor. 

2. als je beslist iets op dat moment spontaan wel of niet te doen.

Will / Won't + hele werkwoord ( infinitive)

- You will probably win the lottery.

- The doorbel rings - I will open the door. 

- The sun will rise tomorrow.

Will Alicia become a laywer?

The concert won't start in a few minutes.

Alicia won't become a laywer, she will become a judge

SHALL

shall gebruik je bij een voorstel of aanbod/ belofte wordt altijd gevolgd door  'I' of 'WE

If you use will.....the meaning changes.

Will I help you?  (is meer als je er over nadenkt)

Will we take a break?  (ook hier niet stellig)

 be going to= van plan zijn 

'Be going to'

Gebruik je als je iets van plan bent of er staat iets te gebeuren en je hebt bewijs. 

'Be = werkwoord zijn = Am/ are/ is '

She is going to have a baby. (bewijs dikke zwangere buik)

Gebeurtenissen zijn een onderdeel van een rooster, dienstregeling, of ander schema. Er is een tijdsbepaling.

Jij bent dat van plan, zij weet nog van niks.

Je zegt dat je dat gaat doen, neutraal.
