Being assessed: informal conversations, sales conversation and information exchange. 
+/- week before the exam: preparation time
Not allowed to bring your notes during the exam to stimulate fluency.

  • On time, door closed = too late = 30 min absent
  • Laptop needed!! Phones stowed away in bag or pocket. 
  • Addressing/respect

  • Drinking is only allowed with a cap on a bottle (so no cans)

→ start with the preparation of exercise B on page 2 
→ divide the roles and make a script for a "real” sales conversation based on ex B (no full sentences, just notes)
→ you will record and upload the dialogue next week
→ Show me what you’ve got so far.

How do you have a successful sales conversation?

Introduction
- Introduce yourself and/or your company;
- Greet the caller;
- Answer the caller's question about the time to call;
- Let the caller know you understand what s/he is calling about.
- Ask the caller how you can help.

- the adviser checks if they understood the question correctly by recapping it;
- the adviser gives advice and possibly some options to choose from;
- the adviser gives their reasons for the advice;
-the sales assistant tries to overcome the customer's objections;
-the sales assistant tries to persuade the customer to buy the product;
- the customer checks if they understood the advice correctly.

Conclusion
- the customer thanks the adviser;
- the adviser thanks the customer for purchasing a product (if that happened)  
- the adviser and customer say goodbye.
