1. Percentages compare a portion to a whole amount. 
What else compares a portion to a whole amount? 

2. The whole amount is represented by 100% 
What is a whole amount represented as a decimal number? 
And as a fraction? 

3. % is read as per cent which means 'in every Hundred'
Can you write 3% as a fraction? What about a decimal number?
