Step 1 – Group Task (10–15 minutes):
Each group must brainstorm 2–3 clear points related to their assigned focus (advantages or disadvantages).
Encourage use of real-life examples from school, work, or everyday situations (e.g., emails, reports, texts, etc.).
Ask them to prepare a brief explanation for each point.
Step 2 – Presentation (2–3 minutes per group):
Each group presents their findings to the class.
While presenting, encourage the other groups to take notes for comparison.
Step 3 – Whole Class Discussion (10 minutes):
Facilitate a group discussion:
Which points did everyone agree with most?
Are there situations where a disadvantage could actually become an advantage (or vice versa)?
How can we overcome the disadvantages?
💬 Optional Extension:
Debate Round: Pair an "advantage" group with a "disadvantage" group and have them challenge each other’s points with counterexamples.

Non verbal communication can complement verbal communication such as looking happy when saying you are happy. It can reinforce verbal communication such as looking angry when telling your children off. It can substitute verbal communication such as nodding your head to indicate yes rather than actually saying yes. And it can contradict verbal communication like when a woman says she is fine but her body language clearly indicates that she is not fine.
