Adverbs

- Bijwoord

- Je kunt vaak van een adjective een adverb maken door er -ly

                             beautiful - beautifully

- Beschrijft:

             1. een werkwoord

             2. een bijvoegelijk naamwoord (adjective)

             3. een ander adverb (bijwoord)

             4. de hele zin

Een paar voorbeelden:

Beschrijft een werkwoord (verb)

My sister walked in proudly.

My mother sings beautifully. 

Soms kan het helpen om te denken: hoe? 

Adverbs die iets zeggen over een werkwoord komen het meest voor. 

Adverbs

- Beschrijft het een zelfstandig naamwoord (adjective)

                           This is a terribly dark room

- Beschrijft een ander adverb

                           They reacted very angrily.

- Beschrijft een hele zin

                            Luckily, the bus was on time
