Basisregel: om de meervoudsvorm van een woord te maken zet je er een +S achter.  

NOOOOOOOIT 'S !!

Er zijn een aantal uitzonderingen.

Woorden met een sis-klank +es

Woorden die eindigen op een medeklinker - y veranderen in -ies

  • Let op medeklinker!





Woorden die eindigen op f/fe =ves
  • Leaf - Leaves
  • Wife - Wives

Woorden die eindigen op een -o + es
  • Tomato = tomatoes

Woorden die niet mee doen aan de regel: 
  • Child = children 
  • Woman = Women 
  • Mouse = Mice

Work in pairs. One of you is a customer in a supermarket and the other one is a salesman. The customer begins the conversation. Switch roles.

– The customer asks where to find three items + their price
– The sales person explains where to find them + the prices.
– The customer writes down the prices and thanks the sales person
