Murder investigation
The police have charged a man in connection with the investigation into the murder of a 52-year-old Isaac Horgan in Dublin's south inner city on Monday. They arrested the man, who is in his 40s, and questioned him at Pearse Street Garda Station.  The man has since been charged and is due in court this morning.

The police also arrested a woman in her 30s as part of the investigation, but they have released her without charge.
The postman found  Mr  Horgan sitting on a couch in his flat at Markievicz House at around 11am on Monday. The perpetrators had stabbed him in the upper leg. Doctors in hospital pronounced Mr Horgan dead a short time later.
