At the end of the class you will be able to:
  • describe what makes a podcast interesting and how you could use that information to create your own.
  • have a conversation about the making of a podcast with your group in English
  • explain what type of language features are used in podcasts to keep the listener interested.

Step 1: Listen to 2 different podcasts.
Step 2: Answer questions about the podcasts.
Step 3: Make a group of 4 people - Write a script and give each other feedback.

DEADLINE pitch exchange: 
The 20th of October
Step 4 - Choose topic A or B for your group to make a podcast about. Record your podcast, of about 5 to 8 minutes.
You will be graded personally on the final prodcut (80% speaking proficiency/ 20% group creativity etc)

Speaking Task
With your group, think of an ending for this podcast. Discuss this in English.
Answer questions such as:
Who  look like? What happens next? How does the government react, etc...
You can take it in any direction you want, just make sure to write your notes/story down.

Make a script for the next part of the podcast together with your group. One person is responsible for turning it in.

You have 12 minutes to work on it now,.
You can use whatever source you want.
