Aims:

 

In this session you will demonstrate active learning ideas:

• create active learning activities for a session which is provided on each table
• provide ideas for a starter activity, main activity and a plenary
• feedback at the end of the session

TASK

• There are 4 tables
  
• Tables 1 & 2 have topics specific to Application of Number
• Tables 3 & 4 have topics specific to Communication

TASK

Create active learning for a lesson

Nominate a scribe for your group

Write down a starter, activity for main part of lesson and a plenary for the topic on your table

You have an A3 page to write down your ideas

You will be moving about 

TASK

You have 10 mins at each table

The timer will go off at each 10 minute interval to allow you to rotate in a clockwise direction

AT THE END

you are required to nominate a spokesperson for your group

each group will feedback their ideas to incorporate into their lessons for the upcoming year and years ahead
