  1. Obviously, I wanted people my own age to spend time with.

I’ve known Adie pretty much all my life. When we were kids, we _____   spend all our time together.   8. A habit you were prone to having when you were younger.

  9. Something you are inclined to do when you're stressed.

  10. Something you do nine times out of ten.

  11. A habit someone has that really annoys you. Use will or present continuous.

  12. A habit people had in your family that sometimes caused arguments. Use would, used to, or past continuous.

8A. You are going to describe a friendship. Make notes on these things.

  • where and how you met your friend

  • your first impressions of each other

  • how you bonded

  • things you have in common

  • ways in which you’re different

  • things you’d do together in the past

  • things you tend to do together in the present

  • habits one of you has which annoy the other


8B. Work in pairs. Describe your friendships to each other. Find similarities and differences.
