explain the difference between the West and East sphere of influence with an example.

Before wwII these countries did not interact with eachother.

But from 1941 they were allies in the fight against Nazi-Germany

sphere of influence

After 1945 2 spheres of influence;

- American sphere; Western countries that were democratic

- Soviet sphere; Eastern countries that were communist

sphere of influence

Both countries had a completely different ideology and saw eachother as a threat. 

The West

- Democratic

- Freedom (of speech and religion)

- Capitalist

- free market economy

- Religion is very important

The East

- Communist

- totalitarian dictatorship

- Planned economy

- Atheism
