While it is likely that our students do not use Twitter much, they will immediately recognize the blue bird and the platform's design. It would be excessive to explain the history and future of the microblogging platform to the students, but one thing should certainly be shared with them: originally, a message, or tweet, could only consist of 140 characters. Although it is now 280 characters, this limitation provides an interesting challenge for this captivating activity.

In this activity, "Tweet your learnings," the students create a tweet summarizing what they have learned during these lessons or on this topic. It's like an exit ticket with a Twitter twist. For this activity, you can use open-ended questions and/or photo questions. With the latter, you can have the students create a tweet on paper. You can use the image in the attachment for this purpose.

Aardappeloproer
1917
