My Plan for Next Year

This categorisation task develops conceptual sorting and thematic grouping skills by forcing students to segment their upcoming academic preparation into distinct, actionable pillars of success, habits, obstacles, and support networks.

Stretch: Challenge students to select their chosen habit and write a short justification explaining exactly how it directly mitigates the specific challenge they identified in the third category.

Device-Free: Divide a physical piece of paper or a mini-whiteboard into four quadrants matching these headings, allowing students to map out and discuss their individual action plans in pairs.

Group Poetry Analysis

I wander thro' each charter'd street,

Near where the charter'd Thames does flow.

And mark in every face I meet

Marks of weakness, marks of woe.

In every cry of every Man,

In every Infants cry of fear,

In every voice: in every ban,

The mind-forg'd manacles I hear

How the Chimney-sweepers cry

Every blackning Church appalls,

And the hapless Soldiers sigh

Runs in blood down Palace walls

But most thro' midnight streets I hear

How the youthful Harlots curse

Blasts the new-born Infants tear

And blights with plagues the Marriage hearse
