Add interactivity to your (existing) lesson

You can easily add interactivity to your (existing) lesson using the interactive elements of LessonUp. In this module, we'll focus on the easiest elements to add: quiz question, open question, and picture question.

1. quiz question

The most easy form of interactivity to add to your lesson is the quiz question. Click on 'Add', choose 'Quiz' and 'Create my own'.

Simply fill in the question at the top and the answer options in the white boxes. Mark the correct answer at the bottom. If you enter only two answer options, only two will be shown to your students.

Tip: Click on the settings wheel to choose another answer option, such as an image or audio.

2. Open question

Do you want your students to come up with their own answers? Than choose the open question. Click on 'Add' choose for 'Question' and 'Create my own'.

Enter your question and choose if you want to provide help and/or if you want their answer to be automatically checked.

3. Photo question

Get creative with your students! You can ask students to take pictures or use saved photos or screenshots and upload them as an answer to your question. The photo question is a great tool to use for independent work and homework.

There are two ways to add a photo question. You can choose for 'Photo question' when you add a slide. You can also turn your open question into a photo question by clicking the camera icon.

Note: by default, students can upload one photo to LessonUp, but you can change this to five photos per question by clicking on the 'Optional' button.
