BEHAVIOURAL
RESEARCH

Ethologists
= scientist who studies animal behaviour.
Ethogram = list of shown behaviour (often behavioural units), specific for an animal.
Protocol = a chart in which you record the behaviour of an animal.
bar chart = chart where the protocol is shown in bars (number of times behaviour ocurred)

Slide 10 - Tekstslide

TASK. Use an ethogram & protocol
  1. Search for a video on animal behaviour that you find interesting.
  2. Watch the video & make an ethogram.
  3. Watch the video again & make a protocol.
  4. What type of research question could be answered with the data you collected?
