Tsunami in Japan

  • Seaquake of 9.0 on the scale of Richter
  • Caused a massive tsunami to reach the coast of Japan

Tsunamis are not dangerous until they reach the coast:
1 the wave slows down in the shallow water.
2 the crest of the wave overtakes the trough in front.
3 the wave becomes higher.

The tsunami had a major impact on Japan.
