Northern Ireland is north-east of the island of Ireland. They share a border to the south and west with the Republic of Ireland. 
Northern Ireland was created in 1921. They share both the culture of Ireland and of the United Kingdom.

Northern Ireland's center piece of their geography is Lough Neagh. This is the largest fresh water lake on both the Island of Ireland and the British Isles
Northern Ireland is the least forested part of the UK. Today only 8% of Northern Ireland is woodland.

English is spoken as a first language by almost all of Northern Ireland population.

However, they do have a native language in Northern Ireland. The native language is called Gaelic and the dialect is called Ulster Irish.
