Make eye contact with the speaker. This lets the speaker know that you are engaged in the conversation.
Participants in a conversation can ask follow up questions, when the speaker allows, to ask questions to clarify information.
When actively listening, your posture plays an important role. Sitting up straight and leaning in to the speaker will help you to listen better.
