Present Continuous

Present Continuous

WHEN:

• To describe something that is currently happening
• To describe an action that is going to take place in the near future

Examples:

1. It is raining right now
2. I am eating an apple
3. Your are reading this sentence

Present Continuous

HOW:

Add -ing to the base verb

Examples:

1. I am looking (look + ing) 
2. We are eating (eat + ing)
3. What are you doing? (do + ing)

Exceptions:

Not all base verbs can have an -ing, sometimes we have to remove a letter before we can add the -ing.

Example: Rohit is dancing. (dance - e + ing)

 

Example: 

Luna is dancing (dance - e +ing)
