Hoe maak je comparisons?

Bij korte woorden gebruik je +er of + est:

Short - Shorter - shortest 

Fast - faster - fastest

Je voegt soms ook than of the toe:

Layla is shorter than Tess. 

Emma is the shortest. 

Hoe maak je comparisons?

Als een woord eindigt op een -e, dan voeg je alleen +r of +st toe:

Nice - nicer - nicest 

Als een woord eindigt op een -y, dan verandert de -y in +ier of +iest:

Busy - busier - busiest

Bij lange woorden (twee lettergrepen of meer) gebruik je more of most:

Com for ta ble 

Comfortable - more comfortable - most comfortable
