Social Segregation:
A group within the population who is not integrated into the society
In the Netherlands > most of the times voluntarily based
Other countries > forced > discrimination

Intergration: The cultural minority adapts to the dominant culture but keeps parts of its own culture

Assimilation: when the people have adapted completely to the dominant culture
