  • simple
    • support what uou want students to learn

1.Words are kept to a minimum.
2.Pictures used (can of pencils)
3.Combination of text and images are visual  enhancement of your verbal message.

  • Avoid using too many words, long sentences(do not turn back to audience)
  • if you are reading to them give them the paper (no slide)
  • Single phrase or one word

Learning a procedure is similar to learning a skill, and some students need a great deal of practice to be able to use a skill accurately and automatically.

If students don't get it.. Teach it again.

Reteach, rehearse, practice, and reinforce the procedure until it becomes a habit-- a routine.
Be specific when affirming the action or deed, rather than by dispensing a generic word of affirmation.

There are two choices:
  1. Change the steps in the procedure and reteach.
  2. Change the procedure to a rule.
