What does Global Citizenship mean?

A global citizen is someone who knows about the world and their role in it. They actively contribute to their community and work with others to make the planet more fair and sustainable.

Global Citizenship is about the belief that we can all make a difference.

A Global Citizen is someone who:

• Understands the world around them and knows their part in it as a global citizen.
• Respects and values diversity/Appreciates and honors differences
• Knows how the world works

A Global Citizen is someone who:

• Is really upset by social injustice
• Gets involved in the community on various levels, from local to global.


•  Wants to help make the world fairer and more sustainable
• Takes responsibility for their actions/Owns up to their actions.
