Learning Intention:

Students will be able to design the set for their monologue performance

Success Criteria: 

I can understand my monologue and create a set that fits the action and character

I can draw a design of my set with descriptions of what is in the space or do a video with voice over to explain my set

What is a Set Designer?

1. A designer of the space the actors perform in, they bring the setting of the play to life
2. A designer of the lighting
3. A designer hired by the production
4. A designer who does costuming

List all the places indoors and outdoors
that you could use

Narrowing It Down

Select TWO of the spaces you listed in your mind map. 

These will be the spaces you could perform your monologue in. 

Think about what your monologue is about and if they give any clues of where your character may be.
