GENRES IN MUSIC

Classical music
Classical music or Western art music is the educated music produced by, or rooted in, Western religous and  music traditions, roughly from the Middle Ages to the present day
Jazz
Jazz is an improvisational style of music influenced by West African rhythms that originated in the African American community of New Orleans. Originally, the word jazz meant a "highly energetic dance". 
Rock
Rock music is a broad genre of popular music that is traditionally characterized by a line-up of guitar, bass guitar and drums, supplemented with vocals and/or other instruments.
Urban contemporary
also known as urban music is a music format that comes from the USA. In the USA it is mainly associated with black and latin genres such as hip hop, pop rap, r&b, lation pop and caribbean music.
Dance
Electronic dance music also known as EDM is a range of shocking electronic music genres made mainly for nightclubs, raves, and festivals. EDM is generally produced for playback by DJs who create selections of tracks, called a mix.

To play together you must interact with each other. An orchestra is usually led by 
a conductor, especially if there is a choir involved. Watch the second video.

In an orchestra the so-called classical instruments play, these are:
Strings: violin, viola, cello, bass violin
Woodwinds: flute, oboe, bassoon, saxophone
Brass: trumpet, trombone, horn, tuba
Percussion: f.e. timpani, xylophone, bass drum, gong

Pop instruments are: Electric guitar, bass guitar, drum kit, (electr.) piano, keyboard, synthesizer
