Must/should/have to

Must and have to are used when the obligation comes from the speaker

Have to is used when the obligation comes from the "outside"  (Government, teacher, doctor etc)

I must stop smoking. 

I have to stop smoking before the operation.

Should is used to express advice or opinions

You should try the fish, it's delicious!

He should work harder if he wants to be succesful

Negative sentences

Don't have to/doesn't have to is used when something is not necessary, but you can do it if you want  

 I don't have to /she doesn't have to be home at 12 o'clock. 

Shouldn't = negative advice 

You shouldn't eat so much chocolate at once.  

mustn't = not allowed 

visitors mustn't touch the painting
