THE DEADLINE FOR THE SUMMATIVE IS NEXT WEEK ON THURSDAY. 29-06-2023

Today:

You will make the storyboard of a comic strip. You can use this storyboard afterwards to create your Summative Assessment D. What is a storyboard? In simple terms, a storyboard is a sequence of sketches or illustrations that map out the scenes planned for a video, or in this case, a comic.

Step 1

Read carefully the summative task description and write a short story based on it. Give the possible characters a name and think of a possible beginning and end (do this in English):

Step 2: brainstorm the possible places and situations to develop the content:

1. Introduction (name, age, nationality) of the comic’s main characters

2. Tell the new student what your daily routine and hobbies are

Describe the city you live in

3. Give directions on how to arrive at the AICS starting from the student’s house

4. Explain where the music room and library are in your school

5. Invite the new student to go to the cinema. Set the time and place.

6. The Spanish-speaking student should make a comment to compare his/her city to the city of Amsterdam

7. The Spanish-speaking student should make a comment to 8. compare the weather in his/her country to the weather in Amsterdam”

EXAMPLE

1. This can happen in the classroom. I ask her in Spanish her name and where she is from.

2. This would happen in the hallway or perhaps in front of the school...

Step 3. The storyboard.

Sketch the possible scenes, write simple short dialogues in Spanish (you will write longer ones and will correct your spelling later). For the Summative Assessment you need to create between 10-12 panels and they should contain 100-150 words in total.
