An adjective is a word that says something about a noun/person.

They live in a beautiful house.
This soup is not edible.
There are so many dogs.
My new books.

Pay attention: after to taste (proeven), to smell (ruiken), to look (eruitzien), to sound (klinken), to feel (voelen) follows an adjective.

This wine tastes good.
The food smells nice.
The sale figures are looking good.
He sounded strange.
I feel wonderful.

What are adverbs?

What are adverbs? 
An adverb describes a verb. They often end in -ly

An adverb describes how something happens: in what way, how often, how well, how bad, how beautiful, etc.

Examples
An adverb describes a verb.

He was walking slowly.
He swims well.
He stopped the car abruptly.
My grandfather smiled cheerfully.

Spelling

-e becomes -y:

-y becomes -ily:

-ic gets -ally:

Irregular adverbs
Some adverbs don't end in -ly.
Memorise these adverbs.

Examples:
