Slide 18 - Tekstslide

Jenga (speaking)
• In turns gently remove one block from the tower (not the top row).
• Look at the number on the back of each block.
• Look at the list below and answer that question. Always explain in a full sentence!
• Place that block on top of the tower.
• Repeat the process until the tower falls down.

Slide 19 - Tekstslide

Crazy Eights (grammar)
Deal 7 cards to each player.
• Place the rest of the deck face down as the draw pile.
• Turn the top card over to start the discard pile.
• Players must match the rank (number) or suit (symbol) of the top discard.
• Instead of simply discarding, you must say a correct sentence using the card according to its suit category: heart (♥): past tense, diamonds (♦): adjectives, clubs (♣): prepositions and spades (♠): question words
Example:
♥ (Past tense verb) → “I walked to school yesterday.”
♦ (Adjective) → “The cake was delicious.”
♣ (Preposition) → “The cat is under the table.”
♠ (Question word)→ “Where do you live?”
• Eights (the number 8) are wild cards: the player who plays an 8 can change the suit/category for the next turn.
• Players who cannot play a card must draw until they can.
• Never form the same sentence or even use the same verb/words from another player.
• First player to discard all their cards wins.

Slide 20 - Tekstslide

Name three ... (vocabulary)
• Put the cards face down in a pile in the middle of the table.
• Start the timer (30 seconds)
• Take the first card from the pile and answer the
question.
• Go through as many cards as you can in the
60 seconds time limit.
• Another player continues with the remaining cards.
• Go on until there are no more cards left.
• The player who has gone through the most cards, wins.

Slide 21 - Tekstslide

Bingo! (find the mistake)
• Take turns drawing a number from the Bingo machine.
• Check your Bingo card to see if you have it.
• If so, look at the matching sentence in the list and try to correct the mistake.
• You can check answers in the correction key.
• First to complete a row/column shouts “Bingo!”

Slide 22 - Tekstslide

Spin the wheel (miscellaneous)
How to play:
• In turns spin the wheel and do the task that matches.
