• Also use the Finish at page 20/21.

Answer the following questions in your notebook:

• Which four things do you need to read a map?
• Search for the definition of legend and scale in the Finish (p.20/21).
• Write down the titles of figure 1 and figure 2.

How to calculate by scale?

"With the scale you can calculate the "real distance"."

• Example: Scale is 1 : 100 000.
• 1 cm on the map is 100.000 cm in real.
• The scale is always in kilometres.
