Goals for today:
At the end of today you know how to make a present simple sentence.
At the end of today you know how to make a past simple sentence.
When do we use the present simple again?
Present simple:
Gebruik:
We gebruiken de present simple voor feiten, gewoonten en regelmaat.
Bijvoorbeeld:
-I play football.
-I walk to school every day.
-She often sings.
Present simple:
Herkennen aan signaalwoorden: Every day, often, usually.
Bij (I, you, we, they): Vul je het HELE WW in.
Bij (She/He/It): Vul je HELE WW + S in.
I walk -> She walks
They drink -> My father drinks
Negative present simple:
Bij een ontkennende zin plakken we DON'T / DOESN'T voor het WW.
-I walk to school every day -> I don't walk to school every day
LET OP!!!
In een negatieve zin zetten we bij SHE/HE/IT niet een extra S:
-She drinks water -> She doesn't drink water.

FILL IN:

When do we use the past simple again?
Past simple:
Gebruik: Bij gebeurtenissen die in het verleden zijn afgerond.
Signaalwoorden: Last week, 2 days ago, in 2008, yesterday.
VB:
I walked to school yesterday.
She watched tv last night.
Past simple:
Hoe maken we deze vorm dan?
Past simple:
Hoe maken we deze vorm dan?
Optie 1: WW + ED
Optie 2: 2e rij onregelmatige WW
You play a game -> You played a game yesterday.
She thinks about it -> She thought about it.
Past simple:
Hoe maken we deze vorm dan negatief?
We zetten DIDN'T voor het WW.
Dus:
I walked to school -> I didn't walk to school.
Exercise past simple:
She ________ (to visit) her grandparents last weekend. (+)
My father ________ (to cook) dinner last night. (+)
We ________ (to finish) our homework on time. (–)
I ________ (to forget) my keys this morning. (–)
