But...

There is one type of verb that doesn’t mix well with adverbs. Linking verbs, such as feel, smell, taste, sound, seem

typically need adjectives, not adverbs.

This soup tastes delicious.

I feel awkward.

This smells horrible.

This question was ... selected (random)

She is an ... woman (amazing)

I can run ... fast (incredible)

This bread tastes .....(delicious)

She always performs ___ (beautiful)

Shane ___ (slow) walked to the door and shut it with a ___ (loud) bang.
