The brain

Brain = organ that controls important body functions such as breathing and our heart rate, it coordinates your movements and performs processes such as thinking and feeling.

Cerebral cortex = the outer part of the cerebrum.

• You gradually become better at remembering and processing information.

The limbic system

Most sensitive: limbic system

This area controls emotions and rewards. Teenagers therefore often find ways to go looking for thrills.
