A meteorologist is someone that is knowledgeable about the weather and can predict the weather.

Weather elements

The weather elements that are always mentioned in a weather forecast are:
Precipitation, wind and temperature.

Smog

Wind and rain make sure that all kinds of dirt are blown and washed away.
A nice sunny day without any wind doesn't wash this dirt away, therefore smog can form.
