Objectives
  • Identify and describe different hair setting techniques, including brick and directional patterns, and identify suitable styling and finishing products for the service
  • Demonstrate correct dressing-out techniques using appropriate products and tools, including heated rollers, to enhance and securely finish a styled look.
  • Evaluate the finished hairstyle and recommend suitable aftercare advice to maintain the style and condition of the hair.
  • By the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify the features and benefits of products and services by analysing real-world examples and explaining how each benefit meets customer needs.

  • On your training heads you will be completing a brick set with rollers and pin curls. 
  • In pairs, complete a consultation for a set and you need to identify suitable styling and finishing products for your service. 
  • You need to plan your sections, ensuring they are neat, and even allowing the rollers to sit on base. 
  • Once your rollers and pin curls are in, prepare the hair for drying.
