Een bijvoeglijk naamwoord zegt iets over een zelfstandig naamwoord.

Adverb

Een bijwoord kan ook iets zeggen over een bijwoord.

She sang absolutely well.

Een bijwoord zegt iets over een werkwoord.

He drives fast.

Een bijwooord kan ook iets zeggen over een bijvoeglijk naamwoord.

The extremely beautiful house.

Adverbs

Bijvoeglijk naamworoden die eindigen op:

-le...............wordt -ly

(terrible-terribly)

-ic....................wordt -ally

(fantastic-fantastically)

medeklinker + -y  wordt  -ily

De meeste bijwoorden worden gevormd door -ly toe te voegen achter het bijvoeglijk naamwoord.
