Introduction to Landscapes

Mountains
Mountains are large landforms that rise prominently above their surroundings. They usually have a peak.
Forests
Forests are large areas covered chiefly with trees and undergrowth. They are vital for biodiversity.
Deserts
Deserts are dry, barren areas of land, usually covered with sand. They receive very little rainfall.
Rivers
Rivers are large, natural streams of water flowing in channels to the sea, a lake, or another river.
Coastlines
Coastlines are where land meets the sea or ocean. They can include beaches, cliffs, and bays.
