What is a question tag?

Question tag

• Een question tag is een korte vraag aan het einde van de zin.
• The grammar rules are clear now, aren't they?
• De spreker vraagt eigenlijk: 'klopt dat?' of 'Ben je het met mij eens?'
• Na een bevestigende zin (+) is de tag ontkennend (-).
• Na een ontkennende zin (-) is de tag bevestigend (+)
• Hi there, it's (+) Sharon, isn't it(-)?
• She's not (-) angry, is she (+)?

• Een zelfstandig naamwoord kan je vervangen door one wanneer je het herhaalt of antwoord geeft op een vraag. Bij meervoud gebruik je ones.
