Slide 3 - Link

So Jason has...
a Youtube channel (NotJustBikes), a Twitter account, a subreddit, been on the radio, on tv and in newspaper articles.
He's Canadian, but lives in Amsterdam.

48% of his YouTube subscribers are Dutch! - he said so himself in a comment below one of his videos.

Slide 4 - Tekstslide

Jason wanted to live in a great city and ended up choosing Amsterdam.
Can you guess why? Use one word.

Slide 5 - Open vraag

In the next video,
Jason mentions the following cities where he lived: London, Ontario (Canada), Toronto (Canada), London (UK), San Francisco (USA), Hong Kong (China), Taipeh (Taiwan).

He assumed he liked these cities (except for London, Ontario) because they had big, dense populations (many people living closely together) and a lot of interesting stuff happening.

Jason also loved DOWNTOWN (the city center), but hated THE SUBURBS (other areas away from the center).

WHY?? Watch the first two minutes of the next video. We're looking for ONE WORD.

Slide 7 - Video

So what word did he use as an explanation for why he loved downtown?

Slide 8 - Woordweb

Let's watch the rest of the video.
Jason explains why he moved to the Netherlands and ended up starting this YouTube channel: NotJustBikes.

What was the reason for his channel?

Slide 9 - Tekstslide

Next up: grocery shopping!
Jason goes grocery shopping in Amsterdam and compares it to grocery shopping in North America (the US and Canada).

Make a list of two columns, "Amsterdam" vs. "North America".
Write down key words about the differences in experience.
