Writing a conclusion

•  Restate your thesis statement: use different words, so you don't repeat yourself
• Illustrate the points that you made, don't just summarise. Why do your points matter?
  
•  Be creative here, because this is difficult
• Make sure your last sentence is a strong one, it is the last thing your reader will read.
  

Vocab for essays

Some useful vocab

• Explaning: In order to, In other words, To put it another way, That is to say.

• Adding information: Moreover, Furthermore, What's more, Likewise, Similarly, Another key thing to remember, As well as, Not only... but also, Firstly/secondly/thirdly.
• Contrast: However, On the other hand, Having said that, By contrast/in comparison, Then again, That said, Yet.
  
• Acknowledging reservations: Despite this, With this in mind, Provided that, In view of/in light of, Nonetheless, Nevertheless, Notwithstanding.
