Slide 1 - Tekstslide

Rationale of the lesson:
What are the lesson objectives (for the full lesson plan)?
By the end of this lesson learners will be able to:
       - Recognize the nets of different 3D shapes,
       - Use and construct nets according to the properties of all 3D shapes.

Slide 2 - Tekstslide

Rationale of the lesson:
Provide a summary of the content covered.
In this lesson, learners will first grasp the fundamental concept of nets and their practical applications. Through an interactive quiz, it will test their knowledge, challenging themselves to match nets with corresponding 3D shapes, name different nets, and identify the nets suitable for specific 3D shapes. Following this, the lesson introduces the intriguing world of constructing nets based on the number and shape of faces in 3D solids, aided by a succinct how-to video. The practical application phase invites learners to immerse themselves in a creative project: the design of two-story houses using a variety of 3D shapes. They will learn to draw nets for these shapes and comprehend the significance of counting faces, edges, and vertices. Collaborative group work will be central as learners sketch, construct, and present their unique two-story houses, explaining their net construction process and showcasing their understanding of the 3D shapes employed. The lesson concludes with group presentations and a worksheet to assess learners’ comprehension and ability to apply their newfound knowledge.

Rationale of the lesson:
      b. How does the 15-minute slice that you are teaching online fit into this lesson?
What comes before the part of the lesson you will microteach?
I will focus on the introduction phase of the lesson, so nothing will come before the lesson.
What comes after the part of the lesson you will microteach?
After the introduction, the teaching and learning phase will follow where I will explain and show how to draw different nets.            The learners will be divided into groups where they will draw and build their nets to make a 3D model.

Slide 4 - Tekstslide

Rationale of the lesson:
Why have your chosen to teach this slice of the lesson?
I have chosen this part of the lesson because it highlights one of my objectives for the lesson and it is fun and engaging and          every learner can take part in the lesson.
     c. How have you adapted this slice of your lesson for online teaching?
What digital tools have you used to support online teaching?
I used Lesson up, where you can make and import presentations, make quizzes, use mind maps, attach videos and multiple            interactive slide add on’s. This is a great tool to use for online lessons. I used YouTube as well.

Slide 5 - Tekstslide

Rationale of the lesson:
How will you engage your learners in this lesson online?
I will engage my learners with the use of interactive slides, games and videos.
