Junk food vs. Fast food
  • Junk food = unhealthy food that is high in calories from sugar or fat, with little dietary fiber, protein, vitamins, minerals, or other important forms of nutritional value. --> Literally JUNK food (food with a lot of junk (bad chemicals, sugar, etc.) added to it)
  • Fast food = easily prepared processed food served in snack bars and restaurants as a quick meal or to be taken away. --> Literally FAST food (food that is prepared fast)

These stupid things (the cheerio crisps) are irresistible because they contain three things our brain craves: sugar, fat and salt. These ingredients are so wellbalanced in the snack, that our brain and body keep wanting to eat more (the
‘bliss point’).
