Today's lessongoal: you understand the branche 'place' and know how to create this branche of your literary mindmap

During this lesson you will receive an explanation, videoclips and exercises as preparation

Place (1)

• A book or a story usually has a few key 'places'
• It is also in the past, present or future (time)
• Place and time are used to create atmosphere or suspension,   for instance the weather, landscape,  nighttime. Also; time (e.g. history) creates the same effects
• Portray everything - as much as possible - in images or   drawings

Place (2): time

• chronological = from beginning to the end of the book in a   logical order 
• flashbacks= go back in time, more than once
• flashforwards= anticipating towards the future
• by describing (playing) different times an author can intensify or make a story more exciting.

Use a piece of paper and create a 'place' - branche. Create images that fit this fragment . Use more than one image to fit your branche (20 mins).
